This LinkedIn forum posting, tweeted by Scott Arciszewski (@voodooKobra), contains probably the worst password “hashing” code of all time. Yes, worse than plaintext.
The lesson: Be skeptical of everything you read and hear about crypto, even if it isn’t as obviously flawed as this.
